Sorry Lisa. I've watched some of the movies you gave a good review to and hated them. As an example, your review of Anna Karenina for example. You say "there is no heat to this icy gem. Then you rated 3 stars. Why did you rate this so high. In closing, I do not trust your reviews. Try to be more honest with your reviews.

The movie takes your breath away. A nice and wonderful effort by the director to give us a fiction movie of apes taking over the world we know and live in.

I agree wholeheartedly about Malcolm X. That song is so powerful on its face, but paired with Lee's camera angles and Denzel's face....whoa.
Gotta add one more. Kenny Rogers and The First Edition's "Just Dropped In to See What Condition My Condition Was In" in "The Big Lebowski"

Love it. You hit on a number of scenes from directors who are just so durn good with their soundtracks. Want to add Spike's use of "A Change Is Gonna Come," by Sam Cooke in "Malcolm X." Gives me chills and breaks my heart every time, I see it.

I hope they run it again. When I watched at 11:30, it was interrupted six times with weather warnings, and you could not follow the story line at all!

Okay I concede, Reign Over Me was VERY good. It's like his serious films are much better than the funny ones now-a-days. Just hope that Andy Samberg can save a little bit of what Sandler has left. Maybe I am just bitter now because I liked Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison so much.

Oops, Thanks for the comment. That's precisely what I did. I spent a lot of time shifting through summer flicks for what I hope/believe will be good and engaging and made a trailer gallery out of that. Since, I had some residual dread left from watching so many trailers, I followed up. These were the films that I had the most doubt in:

Is it my fault that Sandler winds up here with nary a bit of surprise on your part? He's been struggling. to put it nicely, but I have liked him before: Funny People, Reign Over Me to name Spanglish.
